We have been spending a few days in Santa Clara, CA since my husband is attending a conference, and we have found that there is a tragic shortage of things to do here. Yesterday, I went to California's Great America, which was fun. But, besides that, it is a pretty low key city. Fortunately this morning we went to the famous Stan's Donut Shop and it made up for everything!
We wanted to come here to try the freshly fried glazed donuts, and they did not disappoint. This had to be the freshest, softest, warmest, and glaziest donut I have ever had! The best part was being able to watch the complete process of how these donuts came into existence.
1. Freshly rolled dough:
2. Frying Time:
3. Glazing Time
4. The donuts are then placed on a drying rack to cool down and let the excess glaze drip off before being served to the customers.
The moment I bit into the donut, I got a little sad thinking about how soon this feeling would end. If I could change anything, I would have ordered two glazed donuts instead of trying two different kinds.
