Every time we visit San Francisco, we seem to end up at Pier 39. But, we also try to find something new to do or eat each time we go.
This time, we tried two new things:
7D Experience was a combination of a ride and a super cool video game! We bought a deal on Groupon to try it out, and it was worth every penny! All four of us had an incredibly fun time, and when we were finished, we bought tickets to the next experience! In the first one, we had to shoot zombies, and it was actually really creepy. That is me screaming in the picture. Somehow I still managed to come in second place out of ten people! The second one we tried was a cowboy robot game that was a lot less intense, but still really fun. The Robot experience would definitely be the better choice for younger children.
After spending about fifteen minutes trying to solve different wooden puzzles, we see an intriguing machine in the back. It was called Mindball, and you were supposedly able to control the ball with your mind. The harder you think, the faster the ball should move. If you are super relaxed, the ball should stay still.
The point of the game was to compete against an opponent to keep the ball away from your circle. When the guys tried it, they were so relaxed that we started talking about tacos to try and excite their minds. The meter on the screen shot upward immediately after mentioning one of their favorite foods, and the more they laughed, the more active the meter was and the faster the ball moved. It was really incredible!
Here are some of our other favorite spots on Pier 39!
